An Edit Code provides a random text string uniquely keyed to the Record .

The Edit Code enables a user who would not normally have permission to edit a Record to do so, so long as the Edit Code is used in the parameters linking to the Form. This provides for per-record permissions.

This Action resets that code so, for example, the Edit Code does not persist after use.
