Meta tags

Meta tags are pieces of information, not visibly shown on webpages, but transmitted to the browser (or to the search engines as they crawl sites).

neatComponents provides two methods to configure meta tags:

For general pages:

  • Specify them in the Behavior Editor / Settings General Options / Head Tags

For dynamically generated pages:

  • Specify them in the configuration tab of Custom Views and Sale Views

The following Meta Tags are supported in the Behavior Editor:

  • Meta Description
  • Meta Keywords
  • Meta Author
  • Meta Robots
  • Canonical

The following Meta Tags are supported in the Custom View and Sale View:

If a page has a meta tag specified both in its Behavior Editor, and in an embedded Custom or Sale View, the meta tags specified in the Custom or Sale View take precedence.
